Question 1

Is it less expensive to build an indoor green than an outdoor green?

Accepted Answer

Not really — it really just depends on the situation: the access, what we have to remove and/or demo, which type of subbase is chosen, and so on. Every project is unique, and we price each one accordingly.

Question 2

How long will my indoor green last?

Accepted Answer

Probably 25–50 years, depending on foot traffic. We have commercial greens that are almost 20 years old and still in great shape. With no sun or weather to contend with, indoor greens last a very long time.

Question 3

Is there maintenance involved with an indoor green?

Accepted Answer

Very little. For commercial greens with heavy traffic, a light blower pass to remove debris is about all that's needed. Residential greens without infill can simply be vacuumed. For greens with infill, "suctionless" debris removers do the job. That's really about it.

Question 4

Do these greens roll true and are they fast?

Accepted Answer

These greens actually roll truer than real greens in most cases. Real greens are subject to weather, rain, sun, freeze/thaw cycles, and sandy soil that leaves footprints. Our greens roll the same day in and day out. The average speed is around 10.5 on the Stimpmeter — but we can get them as fast as 12.

Question 5

Do chip and pitch shots react naturally, or is there a big "bounce"?

Accepted Answer

If the correct green system is chosen, the ball will react exactly like it does on a real green. No trampoline effect — just pure, natural ball response.

Question 6

Can I get crazy contours and breaks, or does it have to be flat?

Accepted Answer

It depends on which green system you choose and your budget. The more complex the green — the more dramatic the contours and breaks — the more time and materials are required, which raises the price. We'll walk you through the options during your consultation.

Question 7

Can I put one in my office, warehouse, garage, bedroom, living room, or rooftop?

Accepted Answer

YES to all of the above — and we've built greens in every single one of those locations. If you have a space, we can make it work.

Question 8

Will getting a green lower my handicap?

Accepted Answer

If you use it and practice correctly — ABSOLUTELY. There's no better way to sharpen your short game than having a world-class putting surface right in your home or office.

Question 9

Do you only install indoor putting greens?

Accepted Answer

Not at all! We build everywhere — indoor, outdoor, rooftops, you name it. If you can dream it, we can build it.

Question 10

Is an indoor putting green as good as an outdoor putting green?

Accepted Answer

If the correct system is chosen and built correctly — ABSOLUTELY. In many ways it's better, because it performs consistently 365 days a year regardless of weather.
